Today’s video:
Simulated radar as we go throughout the day today with snow showers mixing in with rain showers on and off. It’s key to note that through now until ~4-5pm we will have widespread temps above freezing, falling to slightly below into the overnight from northwest to southwest. Not expecting impacts to the roadways, but slushy light accumulations on grassy/elevated surfaces possible. A few slick spots possible where left untreated in sheltered areas away from the wind:
Guidance for Saturday into Sunday as our next system works into the Ohio Valley…initially we expect things right now to be all rain on late Saturday into Sunday (pending trends in timing)…the second half of the day we have a growing concern for a transition to snow into Monday morning (mainly across the eastern half of the state). Given the high pressure to the east we have sided with the Euro/Canadian on a more robust system here ushering in Gulf moisture as we mentioned in the video:
Precipitation guidance over the next 7 days via the European and Canadian models which have both been consistently ushering in Gulf moisture with this weekend system coming up as high pressure is centered to our east. There certainly seems potential for many areas to exceed 1-1.5″…we will update often on this:
