1-23-18 Northern IN Forecast Update: Light snow works in today, watching for a few slick spots possible tonight. K.

Synopsis: Good Tuesday morning! Light snow, maybe a few moderate snow showers, work in throughout the morning into the afternoon/evening hours before winding down east late tonight. Surface temps will be above freezing for the first half of the day so not expecting any impacts to the pavement; early afternoon however temps could drop slightly below freezing so we will need to keep an eye on areas left untreated for some slick spots into the overnight…can’t rule out a refreeze with whatever liquid remains on the surface. A limiting factor to the refreeze may be the wind as we will be gusting at times to 20-25mph out the WNW. Beyond today high pressure settles Wednesday into Thursday with sunshine and warmer temps working in as well. Our next precipitation chance comes Friday night into Saturday as a low pressure system works its way into the Ohio Valley…right now expecting things to remain all rain. If you have any questions please let us know, have a blessed day! -Kirk
