1-23-18 Central Plains Forecast Update: Calmer Weather to Finish Out the Week. Eyeing Another Weekend System…Details Here! D.

Good Tuesday Morning! In today’s video we touch on the snow from the past few days and look ahead to the weekend. Expect a warm-up late week before another storm system works in bringing the chance for rain to the eastern parts of the central plains. Expect another drop-off in temps behind this system but another warming trend starts as we move into next week. We’re also monitoring a system around the end of January/first of February that we touch on in the video that could bring in another shot of snow similar to this recent system. Please let us know if you have any questions and have a great day!-Daniel

Calmer weather settles in through the end of the week before another storm system works in this weekend with temps getting above freezing by tomorrow afternoon and into the weekend. How high these temps are able to climb will be dependent on this fresh snowpack and how much of that is going melt off over the next few days:

We’re looking at another storm system moving through the area this weekend primarily affecting Missouri and parts of eastern Kansas & southern Iowa. Good news is that with temps getting above freezing as the week progresses we’re only expecting rain showers from this weekend system:
