Good Monday Morning!
We’re continuing to monitor this system as it pushes northeast. After a period of sunshine this morning in the system’s “dry slot”, expect rain/snow showers to start picking up later this morning through tonight from west to east. We don’t anticipate much of this snowfall to accumulate as surface temps will remain at or above freezing. Temps drop off before warming again (just like last week) into the 50’s Thursday and Friday. We’ll continue to monitor this system and update you as need but as always, please reach out to us with any questions. Have a blessed day! -Daniel
Today’s Video (7 min):
Simulated radar showing the timing on the remaining rain & snow with this system. Remaining rain/snow is entering western Missouri this morning and the bulk of it is expected to cross over later this morning around 12 pm CT. Expect the bulk of the rain & snow showers to continue through the night tonight with some lingering snow showers possible Tuesday morning:
Total snowfall through Tuesday night shows how scattered and light the snowfall on the back of this system will be. With surface temps hanging around freezing, it’s possible that most of this snowfall will melt and only slightly accumulate on grassy areas:
Expect temps to start to fall on the backside of this system but that will be short-lived as temps start a warming trend similar to last week. Temps forecasted to reach up into the 50’s Thursday & Friday ahead of our next system late Friday into Saturday:
We’re monitoring another system to move through Missouri Friday into Saturday. With temps well above freezing, we’re anticipating this to be a rain event but will keep you posted as we hone in on the timing and placement as the week progresses:
