We’re continuing to monitor the blizzard that’s affecting parts of northern and northwestern Kansas that will continue through later afternoon today. With winds gusting from 40-50 mph visibility will be near-zero in areas with travel in these areas impossible. Clearer weather will follow the rest of the week with the potential for temps to reach into the 50’s Friday. A blizzard warning is in effect for parts of northwest Kansas until 12 pm CT (1 pm ET shown below) today and winter weather advisories for parts of western/northwestern Kansas until this afternoon:

Total snowfall accumulations today through Tuesday morning. The areas expecting the most snowfall being northwestern Kansas and the northern half of the state. Some areas in the northwest seeing upwards of 8 inches:
Expect winds to be gusting upwards of 40-50 mph in some areas. Especially in northwestern areas where the blizzard warning is in effect. This will reduce visibility to near zero and make travel impossible in these areas:
