Synopsis: Good Friday Morning! Warming trend continues today into the weekend ahead of this system moving through into early next week. We discuss the potential for snow on the backside of this system really only affecting parts of northern/north-western Missouri and looking at next week repeating the warming trend from this week before another system moves through the state next weekend. We see the potential for a foggy start with some drizzle/rain showers Saturday morning as a warm front ahead of this weekend’s system lifts north. The heaviest fog forming over where there’s any significant remaining snowpack that hasn’t melted off completely before the weekend. We do expect reduced visibility if this is the case, but this fog potential is going to be dependent upon any remaining snowpack and the winds throughout the day Saturday:

Expect scattered drizzle/rain showers throughout the day Saturday overnight into Sunday with the bulk of the rain arriving Sunday night into Monday morning. We expect lingering rain and possibly light snow showers on the backside of this system Monday night into Tuesday north of I-70:

Here’s where we anticipate areas will see some snowfall with this system. Most of the state will see rain through early next week with some areas in the north & northwest of Missouri seeing less than an inch of snowfall:
