Current look at radar + temps:

Sim radar over the next 6 hours. We think that CHI will continue to see wintry mix for the next several hours before precip begins to lighten around the 4 AM CT hour and is out of the area by the 5 AM hour:

Sim temps from 1 AM CT through Noon CT. CHI looks to work above freezing near the 5-6 AM CT hours:

We are watching some upper level energy on Sat working across the area that *could* produce some backside snow showers. This energy combined with crashing temps is a set up that can lead to producing snow showers that models dont pick up on, so this is something we will have to watch closely.
