Here is a look at the current radar as of 10:50 PM CT. Main bulk of precipitation is pushing east into IL/ WI. We still have some mixed precipitation by Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, and Davenport in eastern portions of the state.
Here is a look at the current temperatures as of 10:30 PM CT.
Here is a look at simulated radar guidance from 12 AM through 9 AM. We will continue to see an area of light freezing drizzle throughout the overnight and into the early morning hours of tomorrow. We may see a few flakes of snow as the system departs which could put down an additional coating of snow on the ground that should not accumulate to much. With the freezing drizzle, pavement conditions likely remain slick. Most of the precipitation exits by about 6 AM – 8 AM out of the Des Moines area.
Here is a look at temperatures from 12 AM through 9 AM tomorrow morning. Temperatures will rapidly crash around the 6 AM – 10 AM timeframe.
Temperatures will continue to drop throughout the day. Here is a look at wind chill reading by 1 PM tomorrow.
Here is a look at wind gust from 12 AM through 9 AM tomorrow morning. We will see very breezy conditions develop into tomorrow morning. This could lead to some blowing snow issues. The freezing drizzle will help limit this threat. However, reduced visibilities from blowing snow will still be possible.
