1-15-18 Ohio Morning Update: Timing on Snow Through Tuesday. Updates here! D. #OHwx

Good Monday morning. We’re continuing to watch the snow move into Ohio this morning with the first wave currently centered over the Indiana/Ohio border as of 4:30 am with the eastern-most portions reaching east of Columbus. The areas receiving the heaviest snow banding are currently focused over southern and southeastern Ohio. Expect an hour or two lull in the snow before the second wave arrives in western Ohio around 10 am EST. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us!

Today’s Video (6 min):

Current radar  as of 4 am shows the first wave moving more into Eastern Ohio with the second wave currently centered over parts of central Illinois. We expect light to moderate snow to continue throughout the day today and overnight tonight. As of this morning it looks like the heaviest snow is going to be concentrated over central and southern Ohio through Tuesday morning and expected to clear out by 12 am EST:

As of this morning we haven’t made any adjustments to our snow-map however there is the possibility of the heavier 2-4″ region expands further east based on the European model runs coming in:

We expect the second wave of snow arriving around 10 am EST to bring more heavy snowfall with the arctic front pushing through the area behind it. With WSW winds gusting 25-30 mph throughout the next two days, anticipate reduced visibility due to the light, fluffy snow falling with this storm and recommend planning accordingly:
