1-15-18 Northern IN Forecast Update: Update on accumulating snowfall today and shot at lake effect snow into mid-week. K.

Synopsis: Good Monday morning! Today we discuss the latest details regarding the accumulating snow as we go throughout the day. We target additional lake effect snow showers, some heavy at times, gearing up early Tuesday morning lingering mainly across the LaPorte District into Wednesday morning before diminishing east…visibility <0.25mile and snowfall rates of 1-2″ / hr will be possible. Not seeing much in the way of sunshine as we get into Tuesday unfortunately as well. The second half of the week into early weekend look overall quiet with high pressure overhead with a warming trend…next system we are targeting comes late weekend and right now looks like just rain with possible backside side. If you have any questions let us know, have a blessed day! We will update here in a couple hours. -Kirk
