A low pressure system looks to track through the Central US late week/early weekend. While it is certainly too early for specifics, this system does look to hold a decent amount of moisture with it. Below are the low pressure locations that multiple models are showing for Saturday morning. Current guidance taking this low through the KS/NE area would provide areas north of the low with what *could* be a decent snow event:
