Current look at the radar as of 5:15 PM ET. Despite warmer surface temperatures, heavier snowfall rates may overcome and cause pavement issues. There will still be the potential for refreeze tonight with any lingering moisture.
Some heavy snowfall rates will be possible where heavier bands can set up across north central Illinois. Snowfall rates of 1 inch/ hour will be possible.
