We are still a bit skeptical of this next main wave working into the area later today. Based on moisture profiles of the atmosphere, an overall lack of strong forcing, and how models drastically trended lower with yesterday evening’s wave of the system, below is our preferred model for simulated radar. Sim radar from 7 AM CT through 11 PM CT tonight- each frame is one hour. Snow across the area looks to be gone by ~midnight:

Here are the *current* favored snowfall totals out through Sunday morning. Please keep an eye out for future updates because we anticipate this to be another “nowcast” scenario where data can certainly flip flop throughout the day, only to have something different actually show up on radar by this afternoon/evening. Based on latest trends, it would not surprise us to see even less snow than this image when it’s all said and done:
