1-10-18 Iowa/Kansas/Nebraska Forecast: Tracking snowfall across the region tonight through Thursday! N.

Video:

Here is a look at simulated radar from 7pm this evening through 2pm CST Thursday:

Trends over the past 12 hours have been noticeably further east with the heaviest axis of snow across the entire area.  A narrow band of several inches is looking more likely across north-central Kansas to southeast Nebraska and central/west central Iowa.  Outside of that, it’s more of a minor snow event on the order of 1-2″ (locally more).  I have circled the area where I believe the highest snow amount will set-up.  4-6″ looking likely here.

Check out the temperature transition from this afternoon through tomorrow:

Light snow chances will continue off/on Friday into early next week as several weak disturbances move across the area.
