We have small storm chances for Round Rock today but these chances greatly increase throughout the week with severe weather and flooding concerns. Here’s a look at our latest 7 day outlook:
We have a small chance of storms for you tonight but the main energy arrives Wednesday night. A very unstable and moist environment will make the Round Rock area susceptible to severe weather with high winds and large hail being the main threats. These storms should organize into a line which will also pose a flash flooding risk. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a slight risk for sever weather the Round Rock area.
Here’s a look at the simulated radar from today through Monday. The best rain/storm chances will come in the afternoon, evening, and overnight hours over the next couple of days. Storm chances begin to lessen on Saturday:
Here’s a look at total rainfall accumulation through Monday. The combination of instability and moisture lingering in the area over the next few days could cause extreme precipitation accumulation amounts. 3-5″ of rain is a possibility this week in the Round Rock area.
