8-1-19 Trenton Thunder: Targeting scattered storms this afternoon and evening. B.

Today’s Video:

Good morning everyone! Overall, it’s a quiet start to the day and I believe we see a good amount of dry time before we work into the afternoon hours today. We still have enough lingering instability and moisture to produce scattered storms especially after 2PM. We will also be aided by a sea breeze that could help spark some storms this afternoon:

Given these ingredients we believe that you could have scattered storms around the area especially for your first game. The best coverage will likely just be south but we cannot rule out some storms – with locally heavy rain – especially between 2 – 7PM beginning to weaken after 6 PM with rain chances really dropping off past 7-8 PM. Here’s a look at the simulated radar from 2 PM to 10 PM:

Some of the storms could be heavy with localized totals of 1″+.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out! Have a great day.
