6-4-19 Norfolk Harborfest: Analyzing storm chances tomorrow, latest details on rain chances into the weekend. B.

Today’s Video:

Good Tuesday morning everyone! Overall, shouldn’t have any concerns for today with temperatures rising into the upper 70s to near 80 but winds will gust up to 25 MPH at times.

As we work into tomorrow we do likely see a front begin to work through the area. We could see scattered storms move in between ~4-8PM tomorrow ahead of the main line. A few of these storms could be strong with strong winds gusts and some hail not being ruled out. As the main line pushes through, it will likely be in a weakening fashion from ~9-Midnight. Here’s a look at the simulated radar for tomorrow:

Total rainfall tomorrow. If you get under one of the stronger storms isolated rainfall amounts of 1-2″ cannot be ruled out:

We continue to watch the Upper-Level Low for later this week and we still favor the wetter European solution with the American data taking small steps towards the Euro data. Given what the upper-level supports, scattered showers/storms possible Thursday afternoon/evening with better chances as we work into Friday as a boundary settles over the area. Following the passage of the front, Thursday likely starts off on the drier side with more scattered activity in the afternoon. As described above, more widespread and persistent rain looks likely Friday and into Saturday with perhaps rain becoming a tad more scattered into Sunday. Simulated radar Thursday through Sunday:
