4-6-20 Tovar Peoria: Discussing storm potential through mid-week. MG.

Here is a look at simulated radar from 7 AM this morning through 1 PM Thursday.  Multiple rounds of storms will be possible beginning tonight.  The first round looks to impact later this evening, mainly in northern portions of the state.  Strong wind gust and hail will be possible.  A second round of storms looks to impact in the evening of tomorrow with another shot of severe weather (hail/ wind primary risk) possible.  The third wave of storms looks to impact in the afternoon Wednesday through  Wednesday night.  Thursday and Friday look to be mostly dry.  Please watch the video for a complete breakdown.  

Here is a look at preferred rainfall totals through Wednesday.  Some higher totals could creep farther east towards areas such as Peoria and Champaign with the storm cluster Tuesday night.  Please watch video for further details.  

Somewhat breezy conditions develop tomorrow.  Here is a look at the wind gust potential around 2 PM tomorrow.  Winds will be from the southwest around 10 – 25 MPH.  Stronger winds under storms will be possible.

A swing of temperatures is expected later this week. Here is a look at the temperature departure from normal over the next 5 days.  Warmer than average temperatures are anticipated for this time. 

However, here is a look at the temperatures departure for the following 5 days.  Colder temperatures are anticipated in the day 5 – 10 timeframe.  With that being said, the risk for frost is not quite over with yet.  More details in the video.
