4-6-20 Tovar Indianapolis: Discussing storm potential through mid-week. MG.

IN Video:

Here is a look at simulated radar from 8 AM this morning through 2 PM Thursday.  Multiple rounds of storm clusters will be possible with some severe potential possible.  The first cluster will impact mainly northern areas late tonight, the second cluster will impact much of Indiana late tomorrow night, and the third cluster will impact much of Indiana (especially south of I-70) late Wednesday night.  Some storms for tonight across northern IN could have some hail and strong wind gust.  A slightly better severe risk will be possible with the second cluster with hail and winds being the primary threat.

Here is a look at preferred rainfall totals through Thursday morning.  It is possible that some of these higher totals could creep a bit further south than what is shown in the image below.  Please watch the video for a complete breakdown of the details.

Winds will not be much of an issue today.  Winds will pick up a bit tomorrow with SW winds around 10 – 20 MPH.  Of course, breezier conditions can be expected under storms that can develop.

A big swing in temperatures will be noted throughout this week.  The first 5 days, we will see temperatures run above normal.  Here is a look at the temperature departures from normal for the next 5 days.

Here is a look at temperature departures for the following 5 days.  Colder temperatures are anticipated in the day 5 – 10 timeframe.  With this being said, we certainly are not done with our last frost threats.  Please watch video for more details.
