4-5-19 Missouri: Drier and mild start to the weekend….scattered rain and storms Sat. night into Monday…details here. N.

Video:

Starting Monday, we will take a digital approach to our forecast discussions, with no text in our posts.  Our city charts/simulated radar/total precipitation will still be posted below the video.

Good morning!  Dense fog advisories for portions of the state through mid morning:

We’ll see dry weather through the daylight hours Saturday!  Our Saturday night – Sunday system will not be a big rainmaker for most of us, thankfully.  We will see a band of widely scattered showers and storms lift in Saturday evening.  Isolated strong storm is possible. We’ll see the rain coverage pretty isolated Sunday morning, then pick up a bit during the afternoon.  Showers will linger in southeast counties Monday, but most areas will be drying out.

A few severe storms are possible, especially in the southern and southeast portions of the state Sunday afternoon into the evening.  Isolated tornadoes, hail, gusty winds are all possible.

Total precipitation through Monday:

Another system brings windy conditions to the area next Wednesday and Thursday.  A few showers and storms will be possible late Wednesday through Thursday, then turning much colder to end next week.
