4-3-20 Tovar NW IN: Dry today… discussing light precipitation chances over the weekend.

IN Video:

Here is a look at simulated radar from 7 AM this morning through 12 AM Monday.  Some light precipitation off to the west will continue to push east this morning.  However, dry air overhead head in Indiana should help limit how far east this precip can make it.  Most of us should be dry this morning giving way to sunny conditions and minimal winds.  A cold front moves on Saturday bringing in light precip chances with it.  Not anticipating the precipitation along this to be heavy at all.  More details in the video.

Here is a look at preferred rainfall amounts through Sunday afternoon.  The model below may be a bit overdone with some of the “higher” totals.  Overall, anticipating around 0.05″ – 0.15″ for totals with some isolated 0.25″ in spots.  Further breakdown in the video.

Next chance for more widespread rain looks to come Monday.  Here is a snapshot of the European Model around 11 PM Monday.  Some storms will be possible with this wave as well.  More quiet weather to follow for mid-week.  Further discussion in the video.
