3-30-19 Saturday Reds Forecast

Detailed Video Forecast:

Good morning!  Be sure to watch the video for more details, but this post will give you a couple graphics to get a better idea of what to expect today.  Our driest part of the day comes before 11am with just some hit and miss showers.  After 11am, scattered showers will increase across the ballpark.  Here is the simulated radar from 7am to noon.  Also want to note winds will pick up this morning, out of the southwest with gusts around 30mph especially toward noon-time to 2pm.  That will probably be the breeziest point of the day.

Here’s the outlook for the game:  Scattered showers will be around throughout the game.  These will vary up and down in intensity.  Current most reliable data has some downpours near the stadium at first pitch, then suggestions of a few lulls around 3-4pm, then increasing again thereafter as lift increases.  Probably a deal where you get a 20 minute break, next downpour moves in, 15 minute break, next shower moves in, etc.  We cannot rule out flashes of lightning, but that looks quite limited.  Going off current data, ~4pm would be the best window of any lightning.  With the rain becoming more prominent, the winds will decrease a bit with southwest winds gusting 10-25mph.  Temperatures will generally hold near 60º.

Total precipitation will be heavy.  By 4pm 0.75″ to 1.25″ will be possible.  Total through the event by midnight looks to be between 1.3″ to 2.0″, with isolated higher amounts possible.

If you have questions send them our way via the on-call phone!  Hope all goes well today!
