3-29-19 Round Rock Express Forecast: Front passes through Sat with dropping temps…sct’d light showers likely Monday. I.

Good Friday morning! While overall a drier forecast in general over the next 7 days, be sure to check out the video in regards to any precipitation chances through the period!

Here’s the latest 7-day forecast:

Simulated radar through 1pm CDT Sunday: Any light showers that impacted the area early this morning have since exited well off to the east. Drier conditions are expected through the remainder of the day into tonight. A cold front from the north will be passing through the region around lunchtime Saturday which will bring a very weak line of light showers (few rumbles of thunder possible) between 10am-12pm, then quickly lifting to the southeast with drastically cooler air surging in. Sunday will be virtually dry, though can’t rule out a spotty shower early but dry air will eat away at this risk.

We’ll watch an upper-level trough push into the region Monday, bringing an additional risk for scattered light showers during the daytime Monday. Heading into the Tuesday through Thursday timeframe, trends are to keep it dry as well with a few spotty shower chances Wednesday and Thursday. However, have opted out of showing it in the 7-day due to model variability as the European Model (not shown) keeps it dry.

Total precipitation over the next 7 days reveals an overall quite inactive stretch of weather with vastly more dry time than anything. Rainfall amounts of 0.1-0.25″ are expected, though precipitation increases south/east of the area towards San Antonio and Houston.
