3-29-19 Reds Forecast: Sct’d showers this evening into Sat. morning before steadier rains arrive Sat. afternoon. I.

Good Friday morning! Here’s the latest video: Definitely be sure to check it out as we discuss the evolution of rain through the first half of the weekend!

Here’s the latest 6-day forecast:

Simulated radar through 2am EDT Sunday: Early morning showers have lifted off to the east and we expect a majority of the day to remain on the drier side give-or-take a few very spotty showers up until 8pm EDT this evening. Compared to yesterday, any sunshine will be vastly limited due to low-level saturation hanging around. A quasi-stationary boundary will setup across the Ohio Valley this evening through the day Saturday and bring more substantial moisture and precipitation risks to the area. By 8pm EDT this evening we’ll be working in scattered showers from the southwest that linger into the overnight. There can be some dry slots heading into Saturday morning, but will keep scattered light shower chances around the metro area. The front will be approaching from the west and any scattered showers will be filling in with light to moderate steady rains (potentially heavy at times) by 2pm EDT Saturday, sadly just in time for the first pitch at 2:10pm EDT. Instability will be generally lacking, but a few rumbles of thunder will be possible. Another threat will be gusts ranging from 25-35mph. Steadier rains will be likely from 2-10pm EDT in which the front passes around 6pm EDT and temperatures drop. The very back-end of the wave could end as light snow showers, but should be east by the midnight hour.

Additional precipitation through Saturday evening: An additional 1.0-1.25″ of rain is likely through this duration, though the bulk of this will come Saturday afternoon and evening. Expect major implications with Saturday’s game given the steadier rains with thunder working in, especially as the afternoon progresses.

Looking ahead past Saturday evening, the remainder of the games from Sunday through Wednesday shouldn’t have any problems with drier trends being noted. A mix of sun and clouds will dominate this pattern, though increased clouds are likely Tuesday but without any precipitation risks.

If you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out! Have a great weekend!
