3-29-19 Nebraska Forecast: Wet snows target central/northwest areas through tonight…drying out this weekend. N.

Here is the observed rainfall analysis from the past 24 hours:  

Current weather alerts: A flood watch across central Missouri where additional heavy rains are expected.  A winter weather advisory for central and northwest Nebraska for 2-5″+ of wet snow.  

Precipitation expands across the region today, with precipitation expected to increase across Nebraska into Kansas through the day, expanding east this afternoon through tonight.  Storms develop in southeast Kansas and build into southwest and central Missouri this evening, with a hail and wind threat.  Wet snows will increase across west-central Nebraska through the day, with western and central Kansas seeing a mix with snow showers late tonight into the morning hours Saturday.  

Severe storm risk is present in southeast Kansas to central Missouri this afternoon through tonight.

Wet snows of 2-4″ target the North Platte area west to Scottsbluff, with locally higher amounts towards Chadron.  Grassy accumulations are possible across western Kansas.
