Good Tuesday morning everyone!
A few lingering snow showers are ongoing in Northeastern Minnesota this morning, but these should diminish and push off to the east over the next hour.
For areas that completely clear out, temperatures will get up into the upper-40s and 50s for Southern Minnesota and much of South Dakota. Clouds will develop for Northern North Dakota this afternoon as our next system begins to work into the area.
A mix of rain/snow showers will break out as early as this evening for Northern North Dakota. This could be all rain at times, but given cold low-level temperatures, snow likely mixes in, but little accumulation is expected – the best chance will be in Northern Minnesota where more snow could mix in and coat grassy surfaces on Wednesday morning. Scattered rain showers likely continue throughout much of Wednesday for southern portions of the area. Here’s a look at the radar out to 6AM CDT on Wednesday.
Here’s a look at the radar from 7 AM CDT to 11 PM CDT. Note, a cold front will push through late on Wednesday and scattered snow and rain showers are possible ahead/behind the front. 
Temperatures likely warm up quite nicely ahead of the front on Wednesday, but plummet after the front passes late Wednesday into Thursday. Temperatures likely drop into the 20s for much of the Northern Plains region by Thursday morning.
As we head into the day on Thursday a piece of energy likely produces snow showers in southwestern South Dakota and I do think some light accumulations are possible with this. We’ll also have to watch out for snow showers and squalls with additional energy diving into the Dakotas and Minnesota Thursday afternoon into Friday morning.
A few heavier bursts are possible with these snow showers/squalls especially late Thursday into Friday morning, but they’ll be widely scattered. A few heavier bursts could put down an inch of snow with an isolated 1.5″-2″ amounts, but some likely miss out altogether. Certainly favoring North Dakota, Northern South Dakota and Northern Minnesota with these snow showers.
A more potent system is possible overnight Friday into Saturday with lingering snow showers possible for Southwest South Dakota into early Sunday morning. 
The GFS/Euro are still in disagreement with placement of this system, but have trended closer together. Regardless, portions of North Dakota, Minnesota and Southwest South Dakota are certainly at risk for additional snowfall accumulation this weekend.
