12-28-18 Northern Plains: Bitter cold today and tomorrow morning. Watching snow chances early next week. B.

Good Friday morning everyone. We still have a few lingering snow showers this morning, but these should push out of the area by mid-day with only some light snowfall accumulations of a dusting to isolated 1″ likely:

We’ll be watching a weak wave of energy late tomorrow and into Sunday that could drop some light snowfall in North Dakota and Northern Minnesota. Most areas see less than 1″. but the far northern two rows of counties in Minnesota could see 1-1.5″. 

A more potent system works in Sunday Night and especially into Monday which could drop a band of accumulating snow in E. SD and into Central Minnesota. Some areas could pick up 3-6″ of snow with this system, but we’ll need to watch it carefully into Monday. 

Low visibilities are possible with this system as winds could gust up to 30-35 MPH while snow falls:
