12-21-17 Illinois Short Term: Latest trends on snow chances through Christmas! B.

Video:

An scattered mix of snow, rain and freezing drizzle is possible for Northern Illinois tonight into early tomorrow.

A low pressure system will pass to the south and east late Friday into Saturday morning. Temperatures will be warm, so the majority of precipitation will fall as rain. As cold air dives south, there could be a brief changeover to snow on the backside.

The potential accumulating snow is still on the table for Christmas Eve.
