10-28-19 Chicago South: Watching Thursday night for snow showers followed by sub-freezing temps. N.

Illinois Video:

Tonight, snow will occur well northwest of here.

We will watch for areas west of here for a streak of wet snow Wednesday AM…while some wet flakes can’t be ruled out, no impactful weather here.

As a strong system develops Thursday, we’ll see showers Thursday transition to snow Thursday evening toward sunset, exiting after midnight. Our area will see temps hover just slightly above freezing with the changeover occurs, then below freezing after the precipitation exits into the 20s.  Some slush to re-freezing would be our biggest concern.  Minor snow accumulations are expected on the grass with higher totals just west.
