1-21-19 Northern Plains: Latest details on accumulating snow chances over the next 2 days. B.

Good Monday morning everyone. We have snow showers working across the area today leading to light snowfall accumulations across the Eastern Dakotas into Minnesota. This snow will linger throughout the day leading to light snow accumulations into this evening more the main wave works into the area: 

Here’s a look at the simulated radar throughout this system. Note the next wave of snow will develop in the western Dakotas this evening and push east overnight and into tomorrow morning. Areas that receive the most snow will be the areas that pick up snow throughout the day today in Central/Northern Minnesota and those that see banding in SE Minnesota tomorrow evening/night. Here’s a look at total accumulation by Wednesday morning: 

We’ll have a wave of energy along a cold front work into the area late Wednesday and into Thursday which likely leads to an area of scattered snow showers and squalls with light accumulations possible. 

We’ll see two additional chances of light snow early Friday and Saturday night into Sunday in what continues to be an active pattern across the Northern Plains. Temperatures will also drop behind these clippers. Here’s a look at temperatures over the next 4 days:
