GREENWOOD, IN – BAMWX (BAMWX.COM) announced today that they will be presenting the 2nd annual Storm Cancer 5K on Saturday, May 17, 2025 in Franklin, Indiana!
Last year’s event raised $44,565 for The Cure Starts Now and research into pediatric brain cancer (DIPG). The first annual event ended with over 400 participants, 240 runners, and endless amounts of joy.
BAMWX has teamed up again with the Adalynn Strong chapter of the Cure Starts Now for the 2025 race to help raise money and awareness for pediatric brain cancer. The Adalynn Strong chapter of the Cure Starts Now was started in memory of Adalynn Jessen who was diagnosed in 2020 with a rare inoperable brain tumor.
Following the success of 2024, Adalynn Strong and BAMWX have raised their donation goal for 2025 to $50,000.
The second annual Storm Cancer 5K will be held in Franklin, IN, beginning at the DriveHubler.com Amphitheater and then wind through the Greenway Trail along Young’s Creek. Registration for this event will begin at 8:30 AM ET with runners taking off from the start line at approximately 10:30 AM ET. Participants can register to run the 5K or choose to walk 1 mile on the course.
Numerous local businesses will be on site meeting with runners and providing goody bags and samples. A water truck will be available on site to ensure runners stay hydrated throughout the event. BAM Weather’s meteorologists will be providing forecast support for the event.
For those that can’t participate in the run/walk, additional activities, including raffle baskets, will be available on site.
