Good Tuesday Morning! Rain/snow showers will continue throughout the day today and into tonight. With these snow showers, we don't anticipate any accumulations as surface temps will be above freezing for most of the state. Temps will drop off overnight however after these showers that could result in some refreezing and the potential for some black ice forming. Something that will need to be monitored and take into consideration as we move forward but we're not anticipating this being too serious of a problem. We touch on the late week warm-up and next weekend's storm system in the video. Please reach out to us if you have any questions and have a blessed day! -Daniel Today's Video (7 min): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MP5L32yu_Hc&feature=youtu.be&hd=1 Forecast radar showing the timing of the remaining rain/showers today into…

Today's Video (6 min): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnubIobfIJc&feature=youtu.be&hd=1 Current simulated radar shows the 2nd line of rain starting to form in central Illinois around 8 pm ET/7pm CT. Wouldn't rule out some isolated thunder as this second line crosses into Indiana. Lingering rain & snow showers may be possible on the backside of this system with the rain showers transitioning to snow. We do not anticipate any accumulation with these snow showers as surface temps will be warm and any snow that falls will melt shortly after hitting the ground. There is the possibility of a lingering rain/snow shower to occur Wednesday as this system continues to clear out of the area: Most recent guidance showing total precipitation through Tuesday night with the heaviest rain falling across northern Illinois:

Synopsis: Good Friday morning! Biggest story continues to be the weekend warm-up and the system moving through the Ohio Valley later this weekend bringing widespread rain showers and possibly some snow showers on the backside as it exits the area. Temperatures drop off following this system but we see another warming trend as another area of high pressure moves into the area bringing clear skies. We're monitoring another system next weekend that's looking to be a repeat of the system we're seeing this weekend, we will touch more on this into early next week. Have a great Friday and please reach out if you have any questions! -Daniel Today's video(5 min): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4h3mX9gwSTM Foggy conditions with drizzle and light rain showers work in Saturday evening into Sunday as a warm front…

Synopsis: Good Thursday morning! We continue to monitor this weekend's storm and build confidence on the timing and placement as it moves through the Ohio Valley Sunday into Monday. First scattered drizzle/light showers looks to start across Illinois and Indiana Saturday night into Sunday as the low pressure continues to move northeast eventually bringing the scattered drizzle into Ohio during the day Sunday and Sunday night. We're looking at the main band of this storm arriving in Illinois Sunday night around midnight CST, crossing over into Indiana around 3-5 am EST, and into Ohio mid-morning Monday. We also discuss the potential for another storm system next week in the video. We begin our warming trend late week into the weekend as well with 50's on the table. We'll continue to monitor and…

Today's video: http://youtu.be/L1Zn_J0_GYU?hd=1 24-hour snowfall totals here across the Ohio Valley: Next targeted robust system, or as we call it in meteorology a "mid-latitude cyclone or Lakes Cutter" moves in Sunday into Monday from west to east...showers and possibly a few gusty t'storms will be possible...a nice relax in the pattern coming prior to this with temps warming and plentiful sunshine to help melt some of that snowpack: Here's the ingredients as to why we think we can't fully rule out a strong storm threat especially across I-70 south in IL/IN...we are lacking energy but we have much above normal moisture (bottom left) and strong winds aloft (top right) forecasted here...we will keep watching as this evolves, but some gusty winds certainly on the table with these showers Sunday into…

Good Tuesday Morning! Today's video covers the timing on the remaining snow and estimated amounts through tonight. Temperatures through the next few days continue to be brutal following this arctic cold front pushing through the area with overnight lows dipping down into the negatives tonight. With the fresh snowpack these numbers could be underdone and it's likely that some areas see overnight lows in the negative teens tonight. Temps will continue to rise throughout the week into the weekend as a low pressure system moves into the Ohio Valley bringing warmer gulf air up into the Ohio Valley and potential thunderstorms. Please reach out to us if you have any questions! Here is the current radar as of 12:30PM EST.  Snow is winding down in Indianapolis, with the main wave of snow across southeast pIndiana.  Additional snow showers continue across northern Indiana.   Here is an update for when we expect the "main" wave of snow to move out this afternoon.  Keep in mind, an arctic front will sweep through this afternoon 2-5pm bringing a quick round of snow squalls from west to east.  These can greatly reduce visibility for a short time and put down quick accumulations.   Updated forecast radar as we go through the afternoon and evening.  Note an arctic front brings a quick moving line of snow squalls 2-5pm west to east this afternoon.  Also note that we expect the light snow to "linger" across extreme southeast…
