Good Friday morning to you all, and thanks for logging on to BAMwx.com for your latest Zones forecast update! Here is the latest look at the regional radar loop so far today, showing an overall weakening of storms, but there looks to be some redevelopment occurring across southern Iowa and northern Missouri as of 6:30am EDT.

We think there is a scattered storm threat between 12-5pm EDT across Zones 1&2, drier this evening for your Friday night football games, then some showers and storm redevelopment overnight. Here is the latest HRRR that reflects our latest thoughts. We think a 30/40% storm coverage is possible for this afternoon..some folks see the rain, while others remain dry today. If you’re headed out tonight right now it looks dry, make sure to check the short term today for the latest updates.

Here’s an idea of where the rain will be located tomorrow morning around 8AM EDT

There could be a lull in the rain tomorrow afternoon and we think around 5-8pm EDT then the rain kicks back up again. Here’s tomorrow evening at 8pm EDT. We think storm coverage right now is 40/50%.

It looks to dry out predawn Sunday, here’s an idea of total rainfall over the next 3 days. Be sure to check out your latest 7-day forecast as well.

Confidence and Risks:

  • Our confidence is average right now to slightly below in the timing, locating and intensity of our rain coverage tonight into this weekend
  • Our confidence is average that a good portion of the zones see around 1.0″ of rain out of this system by Sunday morning, with localized higher amounts possible
  • Our confidence is average that we see some dry periods in between waves of rain showers Friday into Saturday
