EARLY Winter Ideas. Winter Weather Seminar.
Good Wednesday morning everyone and hope all is well. Wanted to send a short note and an early note on the upcoming Winter. Each year we hold a Winter weather seminar where we talk about the outlook and teach/train on some forecasting 101 tips. This year we have scheduled that event Saturday October 8th in Greenwood Indiana just off of the main street exit off I65. The event will be $5 to attend and it will run from 9AM-12PM with some longs doughnuts and coffee available to you also (I love that place). This seminar is for winter weather enthusiasts and for those who are curious on what we can provide as far as winter weather forecasting and consulting during snow storms to help you make the best decisions possible based on the weather forecasts from Bamwx.com! The goal is to give enthusiasts the best forecast possible and clients the best guidance possible to help you save and make money this Winter season!
The event details can be found below. The link is what you need to click on to reserve your spot because we do believe this will fill up quickly! Its $5 to secure your spot and this is just to essentially ensure those who sign up will attend so we can get a good head count.
Saturday October 8th 9AM-12PM,

With the idea of a winter weather seminar I figured I would share with you some very early Winter weather ideas we have come up with here in the office last few weeks. With the WEAK La Nina in the forecast and the current PDO situation we think there’s a good bet winter could be rather cold and stormy this year with little concerns in the way of “warm/non snow events” like last Winter delivered. Confidence is growing but still need some time to fine tune things and that’s what we will do at this seminar! Again nothing is set in stone at this distance but the trend is our friend they say! Here is the latest forecast for #LaNina.
If we look at years prior we see the obvious weak La Nina signal just in the trends over the last few months as seen below.
If we look back at analogs aka historical data where years in the past are potentially like the Winter coming this is the look we get with temps and precip for DJF months.
As of right now this is our early 180 day outlook aka Winter months of DFJ. This will be updated again next month!
Hope you can join us for the Winter weather seminar! Bring friends and bring your employees! If 1 person registers and brings 5 people I have no problem with that.
