Mostly cloudy skies are in place across zone 2 this morning with only a couple of showers moving through. Through the afternoon hours, scattered rain and storms will develop across zone 2. Some of these storms will be on the gusty side with gusty winds, lightning, and heavy rain possible.

Rain and storm coverage will increase across the forecast area on Saturday as a cold front and tropical moisture interact. This will allow for heavy rain and storms to impact portions of zone 2 through early next week.
While models are still in some disagreement with the track of the heaviest rain, we feel like we have a good grip on the overall track. The latest EURO model seems to be handling things the best. It has a 1-3” swath of heavy rain across southern and southeastern portions of zone 2 through next Tuesday. Farther north .75-1.25” of rain looks more likely. With that being said, we will be watching this closely over the weekend as any change in the track of this energy could dramatically change totals to the plus or negative side. I do encourage everyone to check back with us here and on social media through the weekend for the latest!
