The tropical disturbance is getting its act together today south of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. This storm is not yet a tropical storm, but it does look like the storm will be a named Tropical Storm this afternoon.
The latest forecast model spread is in pretty good agreement that this system makes landfall in the Yucatan Peninsula.
Back on land we can see there is a slight risk of severe weather is in place across the northern Plains today. Main risks will be damaging winds and hail. However, a couple spin-ups can’t be ruled out.
