A slight risk of severe weather will be in place across portions of the Central Plains & East Coast Thursday. While main risks will be damaging winds and hail, a few tornadoes can’t be ruled out. The tornado threat will be greatest with initial thunderstorm development in the Great Plains.
An upper-level ridge will expand across the Great Plains next week. This will allow heat and humidity to advance northward by Mon/Tue with widespread 100°+ heat!
