Slight risk for some severe storms remains in place across portions of the central Plains today. Damaging winds and hail are the main concern.
Rounds of upper-level energy will move east along the 588 height line starting tomorrow across the central Plains, then eastward through the holiday weekend. This will bring very heavy rain to some locations across the Plains, Midwest, Ohio Valley, and eventually to the East Coast. Some places could see 5-7″ of new rainfall!
