An area of surface high pressure continues to build into the forecast area today. This will allow for sunny skies and pleasant temperatures to remain in place across the region through Saturday evening.
An upper-level ridge will build into the forecast areas Saturday evening into Sunday. This ridge will allow heat and humidity to expand northward into zones 6 and 7 Sunday and Monday.
With the heat and humidity in place heat indexes will rise into the mid 90’s to low 100’s in places Sunday and Monday. With this in mind, make sure to stay hydrated, cool, and take breaks during any physical activities outdoors.
The next best chance of rain will come in Tuesday with a southeastward moving cold front. Behind the front cooler air will move in and remain in place to end next week.
