Sunny to mostly sunny skies remain in place across zones 1 and 5 this morning, even as a cold front pushes south across the forecast area. However, as some upper-level energy moves through this afternoon it will likely prove enough to spark some isolated rain showers. These showers will mainly be across eastern Indiana and Ohio.
Tonight into Friday an area of high pressure will build in and give us some very short-lived relief from the heat. Temperatures Fri/Sat will be in the 80’s with lower humidity.
An upper-level ridge will build in through the weekend and will be in firm control of the weather Sunday and Monday. While it will allow for lots of sunshine, it will also allow for very hot air to return to the area with highs topping out in the 90’s once again.
Tuesday a cold front is forecast to move through the region. Not only will this bring us the next best chance of rain Tuesday afternoon, but also some cooler air to end next week.
