Strong to severe storms will be possible from Ohio to the Carolinas today. Threats will include damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes. That threat will shift south into AL/GA/FL tomorrow afternoon.
The heat is on across mid-sections of the U.S. where heat advisories and excessive heat warnings are in place. Heat Indexes will be from 100-110° across portions of the Great Plains region.
Heat expands over the weekend with many places seeing heat indexes around 95-110°! So if you have plans in those areas make sure to stay hydrated, cool, and take breaks from any activities you may have.
