Sunny, warm conditions will continue across most of zones 1 and 5 today. However, as a stationary front lifts northward later this evening into Tuesday scattered rain and storms will once again become possible.
Rain/storm chances will remain with us into Wednesday. However, with strong instability and some upper-level support, strong to severe weather will not be out of the question Wednesday. Damaging winds, hail, and perhaps a couple of tornadoes are not out of the question.
Current modeling would support a threat of some strong to severe storms, with perhaps some clusters or a MCS across southern portions of Indiana and Ohio late Tuesday afternoon/evening.
New rainfall totals through Thursday morning may be somewhat hit and miss. While some places may not get much of anything, others could see 4-5”! With a saturated environment and very high values of instability, very heavy downpours could lead to localized flooding through early Thursday.
