Hot and dry conditions will persist today through Saturday night. However, late Saturday night into Sunday a cold front will sag southward. This will bring in a slight chance of some isolated to widely scattered rain/storms for Sunday.
While the upper-level ridge in place will allow heat and humidity to remain through early next week, we will be watching an upper-level low move into the area. This will bring somewhat cooler temperatures and much better rain chances mid to late next week.
The latest GFS model over the next 7 days highlights the heavy rainfall. While this map will not be exact on placement or totals of rainfall, it’s the idea that some healthier amounts of precipitation are coming!
