Through the end of the week and into the weekend the upper-level ridge will expand north. This will allow for a very warm, moist southerly flow of air to overspread the region.
With high dew points and temperatures in the 90’s, heat indexes on Saturday and Sunday afternoon will be in the upper 90’s to low 100’s. So if you have outdoor plans make sure to stay hydrated and cool as possible!
