The cold front passed through the area last night. This has set-up for a sunny, cool day. However, a disturbance will move through tonight and a few showers will develop overnight.
Better rain and storm chances come in Wednesday night Thursday with a warm front. Models suggest most of the activity will stay north of zones 6 and 7. However, some localized areas could see an isolated area of rain or a storm. New rainfall totals through Thursday evening will only be around .10″ on average, but localized areas of .50-.1″ can’t be ruled out.
This weekend an upper-level ridge will build in and we will see a shortly lived heat wave as temperatures warm into the 90’s. Heat Indexes both Saturday and Sunday will be near to just over 100°!
