**UPDATE** FORGOT TO INCLUDE ZONE 3 SNOWCAST**
Good Sunday morning folks. Update on Arctic front moving from north to south tonight that will trigger lake effect snow showers as it does so. Clouds are currently moving south and this day is about to get cloudy from north to south via latest visible satellite data.
Temps are obviously cold enough and will remain cold enough for some slick spots to develop tonight on any snow that falls..currently forecasting temps tonight to get down into the mid 20s..this will aid in more of a powdery snow too.
Winds will start to pick up today off of lake Michigan they will be out of the WNW at 10-20MPH as the winds increase the lake effect snow will start to increase esp later tonight and in the early morning hours of Monday. This is an idea of what the radar may look like today ~3pm when I think the snow begins to move south into north central and central IND.
Here is where our latest hi-res computer places the snow over the next 36hrs. Starting from 10am this morning going until 7pm Monday evening. The bulk of the very minor snow threat looks to come overnight tonight through ~11am Monday. Worse case scenario right now is for ~1″ of snow to accumulate in local areas.
Here is where I think snow has the POTENTIAL to accumulate based off what I see this morning. Again we are talking a coating to around an inch in extreme cases I do believe. If you have properties that are “0 tolerance” in NE IND I would plan on treating them tonight to avoid any issues by dawn. These systems can easily surprise so I will update again this evening if anything changes..if nothing changes then no need to update. Ill be around via text/call for questions. Long range updates come tomorrow.
A closer look at snow forecast in ZONE 3 as lake effect snow showers will provide some local totals up to 5″!
